We are an authorized IKO dealer and install their laminated architectural shingles — Cambridge and Nordic. Cambridge gives you the dimensional, wood-shake look in a full range of blended colors. Nordic is the same profile built with a tougher, more impact-resistant construction and a higher wind rating, which matters on exposed northern Illinois roofs.
Because we are authorized, both come with the manufacturer's limited warranty coverage on the shingles alongside our own workmanship warranty.
A shingle roof fails at its edges and penetrations long before the field wears out. That is why we tear off to the deck, replace anything soft, and rebuild the details: ice barrier at the eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment across the field, new drip edge, and new step and counterflashing at every wall and chimney.
Ventilation gets balanced at the same time. Intake at the soffits, exhaust at the ridge — so the attic stays cold, the shingles reach their rated life, and ice dams stop forming at the same spot every winter.
